Open data, Baku time
Sea Today
Wind, waves and sunset on the Sea Breeze beachfront right now — and what the flag color on our mast means.
Home · Sea Today
Wind and waves come from Open-Meteo open data for this stretch of coast; sunset is calculated for the venue's coordinates in Baku time. The flag color is this guide's simple rule based on wind and waves, not the Sea Breeze beach service flag.
Honestly About the Flags
The flag on the mast is this guide's device
On the tower in the site header hang swimming flags, and one of them is live: we set its color ourselves based on wind and wave height from Open-Meteo open data for this stretch of coast. It is not the Sea Breeze beach service flag and not a signal from the venue: the actual flag on the beach may differ, and lifeguards on site decide whether swimming is allowed.
Green
Waves below 0.5 m and wind under 7 m/s — calm, per Open-Meteo data.
Yellow
Waves 0.5–1 m or wind 7–11 m/s — choppy with whitecaps.
Red
Waves from 1 m or wind from 11 m/s — breezy and uncomfortable in the water.
Sunset
Why People Come Here in the Evening
The chain says outright that Beerbaşa Beach is a place of “delicious food, signature beer and picturesque sunsets right on the seashore.” The sunset time on the board above is calculated for the venue's coordinates (40.5919986, 49.9781748) and shown in Baku time, without querying any external services. The kitchen runs 12:00–00:00 in season, so sunset falls within opening hours all year round.
